About Stoned Affection

Hi!
My name is Susan, I'm 34 and I run Stoned Affection full time. A keen entomologist, I also raise lots of moths and butterflies – documenting their lives to educate and encourage people to appreciate and love insects as much as I do. If you follow @stonedaffection on instagram you will already be aware of the wonderful creatures that keep me company, but to read more on this and see lots of beautiful photographs, click here.

With a passion for all things natural history, I take inspiration from ecology to create and source wonderfully curious trinkets and treasures since 2013. I dedicate all my time to finding the most interesting creatures and materials to work with, replicating woodland habitats and designing nature-influenced entomology pieces to decorate your home.
All animal/insect materials used are legally acquired, if you wish to know more sourcing information please click here.

I attends craft fairs & online market nights which are usually posted on the homepage. I also have products located in The Bean Hive, Kettering. If you are interested in stocking some of my products in your shop/workspace, please contact me at [email protected].

I featured as a guest on the wonderful SPECIMENS podcast by Elle Kaye, talking about the beauty of insects, how important they are to me and what we can all do to appreciate them more - click here to listen.

I've worked as a volunteer in the Sensational Butterflies Exhibition in the Natural History Museum, London. I've also done educational talks in schools and museums, and supplied live & pinned butterflies for professional photography/video shoots. If this is something you require, please send an email to [email protected]  ♥

Thankyou so much for showing interest & visiting the website!

Lots of Love,
Susan xo
